Chennai Super Kings ended the streak of their defeat in IPL 2025 with an exciting win over Lucknow Super Veterans on Monday. Shivam Dubey was the top artist with Skipper MS Dhoni, who used to give the right knock to win. Chasing 167, Dub and Dhoni put together a stunning partnership which proved to be an inter-producer. Dubey has now revealed how Dhoni mastered chasing and even predicted the strategy that LSG could choose the option of captain Rishabh Pant. Pant did not go for spinner Ravi Bishnoi in the over of death despite his good number – something that Dhoni predicted.
“Some things Mahi Bhai told me – there was an over left for Bishnoi – so I was there in the end, because he told me that if you play till the end, he would not bowl, so from our side, he was actually hitting the bowlers really well – and I also used it.”
All the former India all -rounder Sanjay Bangar reflected MS Dhoni’s physical position and his finishing ability after Chennai’s Super Kings and snatched the five -match winning streak and said the wicketkeeper said the wicketkeeper said that despite not being in his best physical size, “the strength to come out and perform.”
Rachin Ravindra and debutant Sheikh Rashid were closed to CSK for a spectacular start in 167 pursuit, CSK’s speed was snatched back with the Lucknow super veterans growing into the game with spinners. But Dhoni provided a very important Blitz with his Quickfire 26, which was not out of just 11 balls, as well as Shivam Dube’s 37-Genndar 43 Not Out, to pull back the game in favor of CSK as visitors won five wickets over LSG in Lucknow.
“MS Dhoni was not in his best physical shape. At the end of the innings, we saw him a little lame collecting the balls under the leg side. But he still pushed and found the strength to come out and the way he had done. Between the wickets, that was not a flawing running – he was struggling.
Bangar said, “The closer it becomes, the more difficult it becomes, the possibility of (opposition) grows (opposition) with an accident. This is the place where MS Dhoni is so good – he moves it to the end and ends the match brilliantly, Lucknow Super Giant snatched the victory from understanding,” Bangar said.
