“I am 50 years old, this way not much sports are needed”: The epic of Ricky Ponting took PBK’s historic victory on KKR.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) can be remembered as one of the most thrilling matches in the history, Punjab Kings (PBK) head coach Ricky Ponting awakened his team’s incredible feeling and flexibility, as he pulled an impossible 16 -run win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), which is successful in IPL history. Defending 112, PBK dropped the defending champion for 95 in 15.1 overs in Mulanpur. An unprecedented bowling attempt led by Yuzvendra Chahal and Marco Jansen replaced the tables after a poor batting performance.
After the match, Ponting said, “The heart rate is still there. I am now 50 years old and there is no need for such games.”
“Our sleeves with 16, while defending 112, said,” We actually told people at the trace of the halfway, “he said that they really chase small, as sometimes the most difficult,” he said.
Ponting accepted the nature of the wicket, which made the run-scoring difficult throughout the game.
“The wicket was not easy, as you could see that right through the game, it was definitely catching,” he said.
“But what about Chahal tonight was a good magic of bowling!” He said.
He revealed that Chahal was struggling with a shoulder injury before the match and had to pass a fitness test before being cleaned to play.
“He was actually a fitness test before the game. Today he picked up his shoulder injury in the last game, and I took him out of the warm-up and looked at him in the eye and said, ‘Friend, are you alright?’ He said, “Coach, I am 100 percent right, let me go out of there.” Yes, is there a magic of bowling!
Despite his struggles with the bat, Ponting insisted on the pride he felt that the team was seen fighting back with the ball.
“Even if we had lost that game, I could not have been the way we went about the second half. Our batting was bad-shot-shot selection and execution-all this was poor. But when I saw that we had taken the field and we got the wickets early, the deficiency that we had got, was completely faith with the ball and everyone was to see.”
He also suggested that this victory could be a significant turn in the Punjab season.
“So, if we really went down into a close, I was telling those who were actually a season-defined moment-and it could still happen. To be able to dig deep and thus being able to win a game, I consider many people around the world in half the way that we save all boys.
Ponting also talked about the strategic changes working in favor of PBK.
“The way we replaced things with the ball, Marco took the first over and bartellet.
Finally, experienced coaches, who have seen countless dramatic games in the IPL, acknowledged the emotional magnitude of this victory.
He said, “This kind of victory is always the most cute. And if you can pull it, it should be as good win as most people have joined it. I have done a lot of games in the IPL, and it can just be about the best victory,” he said.
Coming into the match, PBK won the toss and opted to bat first. Priyash Arya (22 in 12 balls with 22, three fours and one six) and Prabhasimran Singh (30 in 15 balls, with two fours and three sixes) gave PBK a fierce start with a stand of 39 runs. However, a powerplay spell by Harshit Rana (3/25) and some of Ramandip Singh’s spectacular fielding pushed him up to 54/4 at the end of the powerplay. Narin (2/14) and Varun Chalwarti (2/21) dominated the following stages of innings, did not allow PBK batsmen to settle, excluded them for 111 in 15.3 overs.
During the run-chase, the PBKS bowlers fought a great battle, with mantras to mantra with spinners Yuzvendra Chahal (4/28) and Marco Jansen (3/17) that converted the match to their heads. Despite Angkrish Raghuvanshi (37 in 28 balls, with five fours and a six) and Andre Russell (with 17 in 11 balls, with four and two sixes), KKR was excluded for 95 in 15.1 overs, losing by 16 runs.
