“Shres Iyer brings positivity and desire to win”: East-India Star praised PBK

Former India cricketer and four-time IPL winner Suresh Raina said that the positive impact of Shreyas Iyer as a captain-cum-quality has been somewhat different, resulting in Punjab Kings (PBK) never seen a fashion (IPL) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Last year’s mega auction was acquired by PBKS for Rs 26.75 crore. So far, Iyer has paid for PBKS to break his bank – the right -handed batsman has scored an average of 405 runs in 11 matches at 50.63, including four fifties.
As a captain, and after Ricky Ponting in Dugout as his head coach, Iyer is surprising and active in his leadership, resulting in PBK at 15 points and third in the points table. The side now needs two of its three remaining sports to seal one place in the playoffs for the first time after the 2014 IPL.
“I think his top two players, Prabhasimran Singh and Priyash Arya have laid the foundation for Punjab. After that, it is all important in such a way that Shreyas Iyer is batting well, and Raina said for IANS at Star Sports Press Room Show, Raina said, Ray Kana said that Ray Kana said that Ray Kana said that Ray Kana said that Ray Kana said that Ray Kana said that Ray Kana said that Ray Kana said that the race of the race so far
“I am sure Ricky Ponting is creating that environment, but if you look at his domestic players, Arshdeep (Singh), (Yuzvendra) Chahal, Priyash, Prabhasimran, and the way he is batting in the middle, especially Shashank Singh is playing together.
“In addition, Shreyas Iyer’s last three years – the quality in his batting is clear if you see (his performance in the ODI World Cup and Champions Trophy). Positivity is somewhat different from him, as I had never seen the Punjab team so much in the IPL.
“But Shreyas Iyer brings into quality to the dressing room. He brings positivity and desire to win. So I think Ricky Ponting and Shreyas Iyer have improved a lot in (team), and they are playing a separate brand of cricket – Punjab Express,”
Iyer’s case has been very interesting – he captained KKR for the IPL title last year, and now he has a chance to win it again, but this time for PBK. Legendary India Batter Sunil Gavaskar told IANS that he hopes that Kaushal Kaushal PBK helps PBK in the elusive trophy when the IPL 2025 finals take place on 3 June.
“He (PBKS ‘Great Run) actually tells you the importance of captaincy because look, the coach is there and he comes to strategic time -out – coach and supporting staff.
“But he excluded him from a difficult situation to win, and I think he is doing the same thing here. He had a little bad luck, if you could say it, because he started very well in the game in Dharmashala (which was later closed). They were 124-1 (10.1) in 10 overs, 123/1), and this was a brilliant start.”
“Again, in the Eden Gardens, he scored about 206 or 207 – most often a winning score, but the game rained. So yes, he did not have his luck.
