Chris Strewler will find himself at the center on Thursday as Vinypeg starts his season against BC Lions at Blue Bombers Regina.
A ligament in his knee completely recovered from a ligament injury, the Strewler is getting a beginning with the suspended fellow Quarterback Zach Collaros after failing to respond to an offsen drug test.
“My view on the game is a bit different,” Strewler said, according to Vinypeg Sun. “My praise for these occasions, to start the game, to play the game in general, I just appreciate it.”
Blue Bombers (2024: 11-7, West Division Champions) started their season against Lions (1-0) with a home-and-house chain. The teams will play in Vancouver on 21 June.
Vinypeg has also been playing its first game of results since falling into Toronto Argonats in Gray Cup.
