Lourdes Gurriel JR had three hits including a homer, and went in two runs, ZAC Galen registered her first domestic win this season and Arizona Diamondback defeated New York Mets 5–1 in Phoenix on Tuesday.
In the sixth innings, Gurle’s two-run Homer of Mate Starter David Peterson (2-2) gave Diamondback a 4–1 lead, and Gallon and Bulpen did the rest.
Galen (3-4) gave two hits and hit six in seven innings, his longest start of the season. He faced a minimum of 13 after walking in a run in the third.
Pete Alonso had Mets RBI when he moved with loaded hideouts and two outsider, when Galen left Francisco Alverez a single and went to Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto.
Mark Vietos sang gallon with one in the seventh, before Jeff McNell reached the ground in a double play on the 101st pitch of Gallon to end the inning.
Francisco Alverez had two solo for Mets, who put two runners in the ninth against Shelby Miller, but did not score when Vietos flew to finish the game. He has lost five out of seven.
Gallon defeated Mets in New York with similar outings in New York, gave two hits in six innings of winning 4–2 for one run.
Josh Niler scored two runs on a groundout and a sacrifice fly and scored twice and in addition to the late lineup, Jose Heera made two hits for diamondback, who won two out of three. Gabriel was a pre-game scratch.
Peterson conceded four runs on five hits, with six strikes and four walks. He gave a run in an 8–1 win over Arizona in his last beginning on 29 April.
The 1-0 lead of the mates was made on a video replays reversal. Alvarez sang Tyron Taylor with one in the third before being taken to a clear double play, but Taylor was ruled safely after a video review. Lindor visited a four-step before walking 3–2 from Soto and Alonso.
Randal Grinkuk and Gurle doubled Peterson in the fourth, Grinkuk generously credited a hit, when his hard grounder went through the wientos’ feet on the third basis for the first hit of the earrizona game to open the inning.
Guril doubled one run and the other scored on the groundout of Geraldo Peromo for a 2–1 lead.
