Daniel Altamier put Taylor Fritz up in French Open

Daniel Altemier of Germany won 7–5, 3–6, 6–3, 6–1 from 6–1 at the French Open on Monday, against the fourth seed Taylor Fritz in Paris.
Altmier rescued four out of four brake points and ended with a benefit of 46–34 in winners, which Fritz, 2024 US Open Finalist to cross the 14 aces by the US Open Finalist.
Ultmier’s victory in two hours and 41 minutes was the fifth of his career against a top -10 rival, and his third on soil in Rolland Garos: Number 8 Matteo Berratini in 2020 and number 9 Janaik Sinner in 2023.
“It was very special,” said the ultamier. “I think I was really working hard in the last weeks to gain confidence, preparing myself for those types of matches. I think I’m ready to play anyone who is going to face me. I am really happy to win this first victory and I really love my performance.”
The 26 -year -old Altamier, in the second round, will face the Vit Kopiva of the Czech Republic.
“I try to be as humble as much as possible,” said Altmier. “The sacrifice of every tennis player (making) is incredible. I have a long vision, and I definitely want to achieve something big in this game, and I am working for it, so I have to win the match.”
In other action, Spain’s No. 2 Seed Carlos Alakraj protected his title with a win 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 on the Italian qualifier giulio zepiery.
Alkaraz rescued all three brake points and ended in just two hours with 31 winners and 23 unexpected errors. The four -time Grand Slam winner won 21 out of 25 points on the net to set a second round date with Hungary’s Fabian Marozson.
“It was really, really solid,” Alkaraj said, who is trying to become the first double champion after Rafael Nadal in 2019-20. “The first round of the tournament is never easy, coming here can be even more difficult. But I just started very well and kept my good speed throughout the match. I tried to focus on my game, to get a good rhythm.”
Norway’s number 7 Seed Casper Rood opened 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 with the defeat of Spanish qualifier Albert Ramos-Vinalas. Greece’s number 20 stefanos Tsitipus defeated Argentina’s Tomas Martin Achery 7-5, 6-3, 6-4. Luciano Dordery of Number 23 Sebstian Corda Italy was held 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2. Number 25 Seed Alexi Popirin was ahead of 7-5, 6-4, 1-2 when Yoshihito Nishiocal of Japan retired. Number 26 Elejandro Davidovich Fokina removed fellow Spaniered Pablo Lalamas Ruiz 6-3, 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-3.
