He was not eager to continue in tests, there was a discussion that was very loud in the leading days for the announcement. In fact, former India cricketer and national selector Sardeep Singh, who is also the coach of the Delhi team, recently made some surprising revelations.

Singh said, “There was no indication (of retirement). Not heard from anywhere. A few days ago, I was talking to him, but I did not get any indication that he was thinking about it. The kind of IPL he was doing, he is incredible,” Singh said.

“I asked him if he would play county cricket before Test matches. He said that he wanted to play two India ‘A’ matches before the Test series (against England). It was already decided. Suddenly, we hear that he will not play red ball cricket anymore. There is no farm issue. Most senior players in the team.”

With the latest report, it may have more reasons than Kohli’s retirement.
