RCB will return home to welcome a hero in Bengaluru after defeating PBK in the IPL 2025 final.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru are all set to return home to a hero’s welcome on Wednesday. Rajat Patidar and co. ended a 18-year wait to lift their maiden IPL trophy by defeating PBKS by 6 runs in the final. While RCB’s dreams of having a victory parade on an open-top bus has been ruled out, the team will be felicitated in a ceremony scheduled to be held at the M Chinnaswamy stadium between 5-6 PM.

Punjab Kings lost by 6 runs as they failed to chase down 191-run target. Shashank Singh remained unbeaten on 61 off 30 balls but it wasn’t enough. Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted 190/9 after being sent to bat. Virat Kohli top-scored with 43 while there were contributions from Jitesh Sharma, Mayank Agarwal and Liam Livingstone. Arshdeep Singh bagged three wickets in the final over while Kyle Jamieson scalped three wickets for 48 runs.
