After qualifying for the playoffs with a win against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday, Punjab Kings will get a major edge with the foreign quarter of Marcus Stoinis, Josh England, Aaron Hardy and Kyle Jaimison on Tuesday. All four are available for selection, which begins with the next stability of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against Delhi’s capitals on 24 May, as IPL is shocked for top-two finish after the first time since 2014 achieves the first playoff qualification.
Jaimisson was the first to join the squad on Tuesday, as shared by the franchise on his social media accounts. New Zealand’s Paer, who came as a replacement of the injured Locky Ferguson, has not yet made her debut for the franchise.
Stoinis and Iglis had limited opportunities with PBK in this season, as the team often rotated their foreign players in search of an intermediary middle order. Despite this, PBK has enjoyed a successful campaign, which is largely run by their top-order and bowling unit.
Stoinis has scored 82 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 167.34, while Engallis has scored 92 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 139.39.
Western Australia’s Seam-Bauling all-rounder Hardy, acquired for Rs 1.25 crore in the auction, is not yet an appearance in this season. However, at least one of them can play an important role in a playoffs, when Marco Jensen departs to the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) at the end of the League stage.
Other foreign players in the PBKS squad include Azmatullah Omrajai, Xavier Bartlett and Mich Owen. After his struggle against DC on Saturday, PBK will play his final league match against Mumbai Indians on 26 May.
