Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) spinner Suyash Sharma on Thursday hogged all the limelight with his viral act during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The incident occurred after the ninth over. Suyash, who was fielding in the short leg, picked up the ball with his cap, creating a big controversy. According to Article 28.2.1.2 of the position of playing IPL match, “It is considered illegal when a fielder expands his clothes and uses it to field the ball. The ball will be declared dead immediately after a case of illegal fielding, and the bowling team will finish five runs.”

There was a slight delay before the start of the next over as the video umpires were investigating the incident.

However, Suyash was a bit lucky as RCB was not punished as the ball was declared dead, before one of the two on-field umpires called the ball for the end of the over before collecting the ball.

Meanwhile, RCB made a major impact with Josh Hazlewood’s death-over bowling to replace the number 3 on the number 3 of the points table in four matches at home.

Australians took four wickets and gave only seven runs in their last two overs to return the 4-0-33-4 figures as RCB registered its sixth win in nine matches.

Earlier, Virat Kohli hit a fluent 70 off 42 balls and shared a 95 -run stand with Devdutt Padikkal (50 runs 27) for the second wicket, bringing RCB to five to 205 before a late flourish.

In response, Rajasthan Royals were hovering at 110 for two, but RCB limited them to 194 by 194, Australian pacer Josh Hazelwood returned the 4/33 match winning figures.

RCB was on the wrong side of the result in all its domestic matches before the game.
