Pakistan’s women’s team veteran Nida Dar has withdrawn from national selection due to mental health issues, which is the first time in the country’s cricket. Nida, a former captain of the national women’s team, said in a social media post on Friday that she had taken a break from cricket. “In the last few months, there has been a lot of individual and professional, which has taken a toll on my mental health. Therefore, I have decided to take a break from cricket to focus on myself. I request everyone to honor my privacy during this time.”

All -rounder, who is one of the most identified faces in Pakistan women’s cricket, said that he had informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about his situation.
NIDA, who has played 270 matches at Odis and T20 internationally, was recently asked to make themselves available for the selection of the team for the ICC Women’s World Cup qualifier held in Lahore.
NIDA made attendance for a fitness test, but was later asked to report for a training camp.
