Tendulkar’s brilliant career
Sachin Tendulkar made his Test debut on 15 November 1989 at the age of 16. During his outstanding career, he scored 34,357 runs in 664 international matches, on an average 48.52. His record-breaking achievements include being the most run-scorer in international cricket, scoring the most centuries (100) and half-centuries (164), and the only player with a century century.
In one day international (ODI), Tendulkar scored 18,426 runs with 49 centuries and 96 fifties. In trials, he scored 15,921 runs including 51 centuries. In particular, he was the first player for the only cricketer to play a dual century and 200 Test matches in Odis.
His career was crowned as a part of the Indian team, who won the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011, fulfilling a dream since the 1992 World Cup.
