Anthony Edwards knows that Minnesota Timberwells has a chance to proceed in the final of the Western Conference on Wednesday night.
Edwards also knows that it is dangerous to take anything.
“You can’t be comfortable,” said Edwards. “You can’t be comfortable in NBA – not especially in playoffs.”
The Western Conference at Minnesota Minianpolis will try to shut down its series against Golden State Warriors in Game 5 of the semi -finals. Timberwells took a 3–1 lead in the best-seven series and expected to avoid West Coast’s return journey for Game 6.
Warriors won the series opener, but not the same because Stephen Curry left a hamstring injury during Game 1. Curry will remember her fourth game on Wednesday.
Warriors coach Steve Cair admitted that the absence of Curry had been difficult in the team. Many players have struggled to knock the shots, including the second year guard Brandin Podizmsky and veteran forward drumund Green.
“The series changed with the injury of Steif, so everyone’s shots are going to be more difficult,” Kerr said. “Steif is a boy who breaks defense for us and creates that aggressive flow. I think the end result is that shots are more difficult for every man.”
The Jimmy Butler leads warriors with 21 points per game on 44.1 percent shooting in the series, but has also faced challenges in finding an open space in court.
“Ideally we can shoot more around it to open the floor slightly,” Kerr said. “But with Steif, we are not able to do so much. Also said, we will look at the tape and see where we can find some inauguration for him, and I know that he will be aggressive to game 5.”
Timberwells also emphasized the importance of being aggressive on Wednesday. It begins with the top scorer Edwards, which is an average of 27.3 points per game in the series, and Julius randers, which is 24.3 points average.
Randle said that everyone on Timberwells understood what was at stake to proceed to the final of the conference for the second straight season. Minnesota implicated two points in Halftime in Game 4, and Edwards challenged his comrades to play hard in the second half.
“We can’t just take the opportunity that we have lightly,” Randle said. “We had a chance to go up 3–1 in their home court. In Game 5, we have a chance to close our court. We have got a chance to take advantage of these moments.”
Edwards has attracted the attention of warriors on defense and earned praise from Kerr and others, but said that Timberwells was ahead to move forward due to every player’s contribution.
“Those people are like my brothers,” Edwards said about their companions. “It is nothing that they compete and produce at a higher level because it makes everyone happy.
“I can’t wait to come here and praise them every time, I get every chance. Because I know everyone wants to give me a credit, but I cannot do it without them. They are MVP every night, every night.”
