“Prime for a Chokars Trophy”: East-IPL president Lalit Modi excavated in Rajasthan Royals

Wright-Arm Pacer Avesh Khan starred with the ball as Lucknow super veterans on Saturday damaged Rajasthan Royals in the thriller of the final ball at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. This was the RR’s fourth consecutive necklace and a second loss by a thin margin on the trot. The team lost its previous match in the season in an exciting super over from Delhi Capital. To add more to his bad luck, RR lost the game vs LSG with only two runs.

Reacting to RR’s latest defeat, former IPL president Lalit Modi came with a strange post on social media.

He wrote, “There is something wrong with Rajasthan Royals in the IPL this season. If we had one, they would have been prominent to the Choks Trophy.”

Talking about the game, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 74 runs for RR in 181 chasing, but Evesh’s 3 overshadhed it for 37.

Earlier, Aiden Marcram scored 66 runs off 45 balls, while Ayush Badoni scored 34 runs, as LSG posted 180 for 5 for 180, as his captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to bat first. Abdul Samad’s late Blitzcrayg (30 not out from 10 balls), which included four sixes in the final by Sandeep Sharma, also helped the cause of LSG. For RR, Vanindu was a pick of Hasranga bowlers, who returned 2 figures for 31 in her quota of four overs. This was RR’s fourth consecutive defeat in IPL 2025.

To lose the path from being under cruise control for most parts, RR captain Ryan Parag took all the defects for narrow necklaces on themselves.

In chasing, Vijay saw an anticipated conclusion when opener Yashsvi Jaiswal and Kishori Vaibhav Suryavanshi exploded like a rocket, sewing an 85 -run partnership together in the ninth over.

Things were getting very good for the host with Jaiswal, with a brilliant 74 in 52 delivery and a similar combat Parag broke 39 off 26 balls.

But both were rejected by LSG Pesar Evesh Khan in the 18th over, due to poor selection of shots.

RR could not take a shock to lose the batsman two well and in the end two runs were reduced.

“It is really difficult to process all emotions. Don’t know what we did wrong. We were in the game till the 18th or 19th over. I don’t know. I blame myself. I should have ended that game in the 19th over. We have to set up a game collectively,” Parag led the team on Saturday, which regularly caused the team to a side strain.

The last over, also bowled by Avesh, was one who saw the LSG bowler to test his years of experience and come out of the winner. He also got rid of dangerous Shimron Hetmier to smell RR Challenge.
