Jose Altuwe’s two homes sparked AIIMS’s blowout

Jose Altuve produced his 12th career multi-home game as Houston Astro on Thursday topped Seattle Meriners in a four-game opener in a four-market opener.

Altuve scored a leadoff home run in the fifth innings before opening a two -run shot in the sixth of Astro’s three runs. After going to Homerless from 28 April, he extended his season to a total of six long balls.

When Altuve left the first-picker Ciner from Mariners Reliever Jessie Han in sixth place, he marked his first multi-hummer game against Texas Rangers since April 14, 2024.

The sixth-inning shot was part of the two-out rally. Altuve reached the Isaac parade via a hit by pitch before increasing the lead by 8–2. After three batsmen, Victor Karatini slapped his third single of the competition, which left the plate Yanner Diaz, who left after Altuve Dinger.

Astros’ right-handed Lance McCullers Junior continued his gradual return with the absence of a two-plus-season injury. He lasted a season-hai 4 1/3 innings on the season-high 91 pitches, but Cal Rail and Randy Arzrena’s consecutive account solo prevented him from finishing fifth and winning.

McCullers conceded two runs on five hits, including a homer by Dylan Moore, while recording eight strikes and three walks.

The Meriners Center Fielder Julio Rodriguez was a late scratching, although no announcement was made about the cause.
