Team Liquid, Tundra Asports and Betbom team won their matches to get out of the group stage at the PGL Walchia season 4 event in Bukharest, Romania on Tuesday.
Liquid team tidebound while Tundra and Betbom won 2–1 against Team Falcons and Arora Gaming respectively.
Liquid, Tundra and Betbom joined the previous playoff qualifiers team Spirit and Performing, with the last three spots scheduled on Wednesday.
The $ 1 million Dota tournament began with 16 teams in a revised Swiss group stage format with a double-elimination playoffs running from 27 April.
All the group stage matches are three-three. The top eight teams move forward to the playoffs, and the bottom eight is eliminated. Playoffs are on Sundays on Thursday, leaving the Grand Final with all matches, three are the best, which is the best.
Liquid defeated Tidebound in 35 minutes and 50 minutes, both on green. Falcons opened with a 73 -minute win over Red but Tundra responded with a 37 -minute win over Red and a 28 -minute win over Green. Betbom sandwiched a 39 -minute win over Red and a 42 -minute win over Aerora’s 45 -minute win.
In Tuesday’s matches, beating 1-2 teams, Navy Junior Swept Nigma Galaxy, Xtreme Gaming defeated Shopfi rebel and valor. The losing teams were abolished.
