Short-handed fever is more fighting vs 0-5 sun

Indiana fever will seek a better result when hosting the winner Connecticut Sun in Indianapolis on Friday as they deal with the absence of superstar Ketleen Clarke.
WNBA Rookie of the Ear was sidelined due to a stressful left quad, fever (2-3) struggled to find its rank and dropped 83–77 for Washington Mistics on Wednesday.
Indiana’s Sophie Cunningham termed the disadvantage as “intestinal punch”, while fellow guard Kelsey Mitchell continued the fighting.
“We were not sufficient enough to be a contender for anything (Washington),” Mitchell said. “I think punching quickly in the mouth is getting humble, because it shows where we should be.”
Offsen Acquisition Devanna Boner scored a team-high 21 points for fever. The six-time all-star signed a year contract with Indiana after spending the last five sessions with a connecticut.
Sydney Callson scored four points in 31 minutes when Clarke started in place of Clarke, who missed a regular season game for the first time in their professional or college. Clarke is expected to stay out for at least two weeks after the injury to Indiana in New York Liberty on Saturday.
The sun will not regret it for fever. Connecticut fell for the first time at 0-5 for the first time after the 2020 season, leaving the 109–87 verdict for former Ucon Star Paige Beukers and already Winless Dallas Wings.
“As long as we don’t understand what we are able to do and are not able to do, we will play like this,” Sun Coach Rachid Mezian said, according to Hartford Cortent. “I have said many times that we have to play as a team, and playing as a team is both aggressive and defensive. … At the end of the day, we did not keep our heart in court. We didn’t just give a chance to compete.”
Former WNBA MVP Tina Charles scored 27 points season-high and Marina Mabre added 19 to the defeat against Dallas.
Mabre is suspicious for Friday’s game due to a sick right quad.
