Dasun Shanaka planted for the remainder of IPL 2025 by Gujarat Titans as a replacement of Glenn Philips as Glenn Philips.

The Titans (GT) of Gujarat on Thursday announced one injury to the Indian Premier League (IPL) as a replacement of all-rounder Glenn Philips, an injured New Zealand all-rounder at Sri Lankan all-rounder Dasun Shanaka. The Indian Premier League (IPL) Shanka as a replacement for the injured Glenn Philips for the remainder of 2025. “Philips returned to New Zealand after a waist injury during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 6 April.

The injury occurred during the famous Krishna over when Ishaan Kishan pushed the same ball on the same ball. Glenn Philips gave it everything and tried to do everything to stop the run. The batsmen successfully completed the run, but Philips was hurt. He was taken out of the field with the medical team a few minutes later.

Philips does not yet have the facility for GT in IPL 2025. He is one of the best fielders, and GT used his services against SRH. He demonstrated his fielding skills during the 2025 Champions Trophy and was the best fielder at the ICC event.

Philips joined the GT for IPL 2025 mega auction for INR 2 crore. Glenn has played eight IPL matches for two separate teams, SRH and RR. He has scored 65 runs in eight matches with the best of 25.

All-rounder, Shanka has scored 1456 runs in 102 T20I for Sri Lanka, on average 19.67 and five half-centuries as well as 33 T20i wickets in her name.

He has also played 71 OD and 6 Tests for Sri Lanka. In his ODI career, Shanaka has scored 1,299 on an average of 22.39, with two centuries and four fifties in 63 innings, and has taken 27 wickets on an average of 37.00. In six trials, he has scored 140 runs in 12 innings in 12 innings and 140 runs in a half -century in 12 innings, while 13 scals have been raised with the best figures of 3/46 at an average of 33.15. He is the 2022 Asia Cup winning captain for Sri Lanka.

The cone T20 league circuit also has a prestigious name, including 4,449 runs in 243 matches and 222 innings named after him, on an average with 26.17, three centuries and 16 half -centuries. He has also picked up an average of 91 scals of 25.29, with the best figures of 4/16.

He was earlier part of GT in 2023 and played 3 matches, scoring 10 minutes. All -rounder will join GT for Rs 75 lakh.
