New England Revolution and hosts CF Montreal stopped a busy month when they play at MLS on Saturday night.

It marks the eighth match of the month for both sides as New England have played five MLS matches and two US Open Cup fixtures in May and Montreal is on the ground for six MLS matches and Canadian Championship quarterfinals.

It also works as a third straight road match in league play for revolution, which has followed the four-game winning streak with four straight draws. Kranti coach Kaleb Porter admitted that the schedule was cruel, but believes that his players would respond to the call on Saturday.

“If you are really hungry,” Porter said, “then you don’t get tired.”

New England (5-4-5, 20 points) are prominent to the border after two points were allowed to be removed from 1–1 on Wednesday in DC United. The revolution led the entire second half before giving a stop-time equalizer for Gabriel Pirani.

Ruki Defender Ilaya Fingold scored his first career goal for Revs in that game. Carls Gill leads the team with six goals.

Montreal (1–10–5, 8 digits) is the worst imprint at the Eastern Conference and is trying to break for a second win after receiving its first May 10 at New York City FC. The Canadian Club managed to score some goals against Inter Miami on Wednesday, but there was no match for Lionel Messi and Louis Suarez in the 4–2 defeat.

Montreal midfielder Caden Clarke said, “Yes, he has the best player in the world and it plays a little with your mind.” “But, as a team, they are still worthy of defect. … I think it is going to give us some more confidence in those moments. It’s an unfortunate disadvantage and they are entitled to victory tonight. I don’t think we were in our best, but we will go again on Saturday.”

Prince Ovsu is the team’s leading scorer with four goals.

Porter warned that the revolution should not ignore CF Montreal despite his records.

“They are really a very good team in the attack,” he said. “(GiComo) Vrioni and Owusu are a handful, and they do some interesting things with the ball to try to disorgan you.”
