Veronica Burton drilled a pair of 3-pointers in the final 1:38, leading to expansion Golden State Vulcaries to win her first WNBA, which was 76–74 on the Washington Mistics tour in San Francisco on Wednesday.
Kayla Thornton replaced a major four-point drama during the late run of Golden State.
Burton ended for Vulcaries with 22 points and Thornton 18, playing his second game, making his debut against Los Angeles Sparks on Friday.
Brittany Cyx put a game-high 30 points for mystics, who opened their campaign with two direct win.

Irafen, a crook, who started his college career at a nearby Stanford, completed his second double-dobbal in three matches with 10 points and a game-hai 12 rebound for Washington (2-1). Sonia Citron also had 10 points, while Z Melbourne launched a game-high intake asist to go with eight points and seven rebels.
Mistics lost despite the hosts excluded from 37.9 percent to 37.9 percent.
