FC Cincinnati sign 40 -year -old striker Kai Kamara

FC Cincinnati has signed the legendary striker KE Kamara through 2025 with an option for 2026.

The 40-year-old free agent will capture a supplementary roster slot with its MLS-Char 12th club.

Kamra MLS ranks number 2 with 147 regular-season goals in history and 445 shows with number 4.

“We are excited to add a player of KE for FC Cincinnati,” the quality, experience and leadership to add a player of KE’s quality, experience and leadership, “General Manager Chris Albreight said in a news release on Monday.

“While he is clearly one of the most vigorous target scorers in league history, his skill also adds a different dynamic in our attack. We want to welcome him and his family in Cincinnati.”

Kamara scored eight goals and five assistance in 40 matches in all competitions in the previous season with Los Angeles FC, claiming its first US Open Cup title.

Kamara was MLS all-star in 2015 and 2023 and made MLS Best XI in 2015.

The Sierra Leone native entered the league as the first round pick by Columbus Crew in 2006 and has also played for Chicago Fire, Colorado Rapids, Houston Dynamo, Minnesota United, CF Montreal, New England Kranti, San Josecrowex, Sporting Cancer Bhirakwax, Sporting Cancer City and Wancing City.
