Like the world of most cricket, the World Cup winner former India’s former India Pacer Madan Lal is fully affected by the breathtaking IPL performances of 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, but he also has a word of caution for the Rising Star-the Pratibha will not move alone. Lal said that eccentric from Safastipur in Bihar will also need to be disciplined and focused on achieving more success. “She is very talented. But talent does not guarantee success alone. She needs to focus, discipline and work hard. If her process is correct, I believe she can achieve amazing heights,” LAL told ‘PTI video’.

“I have never seen such a child. When I was the captain of the Delhi team, Sachin (Tendulkar) played against us at a very young age and scored around 80 runs in the Ranji Trophy semi -finals.
“Then Virat Kohli came, who is still playing. And now, everyone is talking about Suryavanshi. He has all the construction of a superstar,” he said.
Lall described the hitting capabilities of Suryavanshi as a “God -provided talent”. “… But it is up to you how you work on it. Your honesty, discipline, upbringing – it means a lot. Family support is also important. When your parents are disciplined and helpful, you get added inspiration,” he explained.
Lal felt that Suryavanshi should play as much domestic cricket as possible.
“Playing against various opponents in various circumstances helps you grow,” he argued.
