Bangladesh to visit Pakistan for T20I in May; Faisalabad to host after 17 years

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday confirmed that Bangladesh would travel to the country for the five -match T20I series next month, where Faisalabad would host international matches after a long gap of 17 years. Bangladesh visited Pakistan for the two-testing series last year, which was part of the ICC World Test Championship and won 2–0 to win home. The Scheduled White-Ball series, which is part of the future tour program (FTP), originally included three Odis and three T20I. The PCB stated that the ICC Mains has been scheduled for next year with the T20 World Cup, the two boards agreed to replace the ODI with two additional T20s.
The five -match T20I series will be played from 25 May to 3 June in Faisalbad and Lahore.
This is the first time since April 2008 that an international match will be hosted at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, where 24 Test matches have been played in the past.
The PCB has organized several domestic tournaments at the venue, including the one -day cup in September last year and the National T20 Cup last month.
The first and second of the series scheduled for May 25 and 27 will be held at T20Is Iqbal Stadium.
The Gaddafi Stadium of Lahore will host the remaining three T20Is scheduled on May 30, 1 and 3 May.
The Bangladesh team will arrive on May 21 and will pass through training sessions at Iqbal Stadium from 22-24 May.
