Amidst Indian attacks, PCB Pakistan says an emergency meeting on the Super League. The report says, “If things grow …”




Surrounded by many Indian military attacks in Pakistan, the country’s Cricket Board has called an emergency meeting to discuss whether the ongoing Pakistan Super League, which has the facility of many foreign players, should be stopped. The T20 league, which has six franchises and in its final stage, is currently being staged in Rawalpindi. It is scheduled for air in Lahore on 18 May. A reliable source on the board said that the PCB would follow the advice from the government to continue the league and it would hold a discussion later on Thursday.

The source said, “The meeting will review the situation from Wednesday, especially due to the number of attacks by India in the province of Punjab,” said.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer also met with foreign players in Rawalpindi and assured them that they had nothing to worry because PCB was closely monitoring the situation.

Some of the major international names for the league are David Warner (Karachi Kings), Jason Holder (Islamabad United), and Rasi Van Der Duson (Islamabad United).

PCB spokesperson Amir Mir said, “Naturally the current scenario has come into discussion. The players have been given heavy security blankets by the Pakistan Army.”

He said, “There have been surgical strikes on both sides of the border, but we do not expect to impress PSL. But if God refuses, things grow, we will sit together to decide our next step,” he said.

India’s military attacks are in retaliation for the April 22 terrorist attack, with 26 people, most of the tourists were closed in Pahgam in South Kashmir.

After successful missile attacks at nine places in Pakistan to eliminate terrorist infrastructure, India said on Thursday that it failed to fail efforts to attach several military goals in northern and western India using the Pakistani army using drones and missiles.

Officials said on Thursday that the country’s defense forces also destroyed a Pakistani air defense system in Lahore.

The Pakistani Army tried to target Avantpura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttaralai and Bhuj.
