The galaxy finally eliminates the Winless Streak, avoid the historical mark

Seventeen matches in the 2025 season, Los Angeles Galaxy finally won his first win with a 2–0 win on the real Salt Lake on Saturday.
Galaxy’s 16-Match (0–12-4) saw the third longest tied drought in MLS history. A disadvantage or draw against RSL would have given LA a suspicious difference of the league’s longest single-season winner streak.
However, in Saturday’s concrete performance, Los Angeles (1–12–4, 7 points) saw some similarity for the club won the MLS Cup of the previous season.
Lucas Sanbria and Joseph Paintsil each scored their first goals of the season. This was Sanbriya’s first goal since being acquired by Los Angeles in February, while Pentsil broke after being injured in his season.
La Golkeeper Novak Mikovic made four savings for the first shutout (and galaxy) of the season in MLS Play.
Disadvantage extended its RSL winner drought to seven matches (0-4-3).
Despite the 20–9 lead in shots, Salt Lake (4–10–3, 15 points) was scorer for the seventh time this season. Zewear Gozo and William Agada each hit the goalpost in the closest occasions of the RSL match.
A Slick Passing Play led the Galaxy’s initial goal in the 17th minute, when the defender John Nelson passed in the Maths Nesseno in the box. The further took the ball to the edge of the goalkeeper’s area for a cross, and Sanabriya was in front to replace Nesmento.
Real Salt Lake emerged from renewed brake, providing three quality scoring opportunities with fresh speed. Mikovic made a good savings to reject Nelson Palasio and Dominic Markzuk, and defender Mickey Yamne made a good game to prevent Sam Junwa from touching a dangerous pass.
Los Angeles participated in that hurry with RSL and then increased in the 55th minute. Paintsil took a long pass in the box and then lost the ball to the moment -Pal Noel Calcon, only to take a lucky bounce for the pantsil for the ball. Given another occasion, Pentsil buried a well -laid shot.
