RR consoled CSK on Defleted

IPL 2025: RR completed a dominating win over CSK at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Chasing a total of 188 runs, RR made a mockery of Chennai’s bowling as they completed the chase within 17.1 overs. Youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the start with the bat after scoring a quickfire fifty. He was equally well supported by Sanju Samson (41 runs) with Dhruv Jurel giving the finishing touches after scoring 31 runs off just 12 balls.

RR opted to bowl first

Earlier in the match, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to have a bowl first on a good batting track. CSK openers failed to give a good start to their team as Kiwi batter Devon Conway was scalped for just 10 runs. Youngster Urvil Patel followed quickly as CSK were 12/2 before the rebuilding started.

Ayush Mhatre (43 runs) played a good knock as he was supported by Dewald Brevis and Shivam Dube who scored 42 and 39, respectively. Skipper MS Dhoni was once again given the task of finishing the innings but the veteran failed to provide a good end after getting dismissed for 16 runs off 17 balls.

For RR, Yudhvir Singh Charak was the pick of bowlers taking 3 wickets, Madhwal also bowled well in the death overs and took 3 wickets to derail CSK innings in the first half of the match.
