Kings Name Ken Holland General Manager

Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday named Kane Holland as their new general manager.
The conditions were not disclosed. Holland replaced Rob Blake, which was fired by the club after eight sessions last week.
Kings President Luke Robitil said in a release, “As we did our proper hard work, we recognized Kane as the best option and worked decisively to make him our general manager.” “His track record of success is undisputed and after our conversation with him, we were clearly convinced that he was the right person for us at the moment. He has the experience of leading us on the right path that will help us win now and compete for the Stanley Cup.”
Holland was Red Wings GM from 69, 1997-98 to 2018-19, during which Detroit captured the Stanley Cup in 1998, 2002 and 2008. He was also an assistant GM of the team during the 1997 Stanley Cup run.
Recently, Holland was the GM of Oilors from 2019-20 to 2023-24. In the last season, Edmonton Stanley lost to Florida Panthers in the Cup final, after which Holland left the team by mutual agreement.
Holland was included in the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2020 as “Builder”. He made a brief game career as a goalkeeper: one game with heartford whalers in 1980–81 and three with Red Wings in 1983-84. Holland proceeded 0-2–1 with 4.96 goals averages and a .825 save percent.
Los Angeles went to 48-25-9 (105 points), finishing second in the Pacific Division this season. Coach Jim Hillar is a record of one half, 69–37-10 in a season and job.
