Francisco Lindor’s sacrifice woke up to New York Met’s 2–1 on a tour of Chicago White Sox on Monday at the bottom of the ninth innings.
Tyron Taylor launched the winning rally from the right-hand Steven Wilson (1–1) with a glove of Center Fielder Luis Robert Junior on the warning track. After Jeff McNell deliberately walking, Louis Taurnce left the platform for Lindor to fill the hideouts.
He easily scored the first pitch at the edge of the warning track by Right Fielder Mike Touchman and Taylor, making New York introduced New York with the fifth walkoff win of the season.
Edwin Diaz (2–0) tried a two-each to chase the ninth to chase the ninth for victory, as Mats won their third direct victory.
New York ranked the game eighth, when Juan Soto left a sacrifice fly, scoring a pinch of runner Louisangel Ekuna, who replaced Francisco Alverages, when she led single. Acuna Brandon reached third place on Nimmo’s account single to right.
The sacrifice fly of Soto meant that both had no decisions for the initial pitcher despite good outings. Chicago’s right-handed Adrian Houssar ran a six-plus innings, leaving no run with three hits and one walk and six strikes. New York’s right -handed Clay Holmes allowed four hits and one run in 5 2/3 innings, three and three fanning three.
White Sox began scoring at the top of the fourth. Tauchman walked a leadoff and reached third place through the center in the double of Miguel class. Andrew Benntendy cashed in a fourth with a sacrifice fly for a warning track in the left.
Hausar faced a minimum of two batsmen through six innings. Nimmo doubled with one in the ago, but Met’s did not find another runner until Lindor did not sing for the right-center with two exterior in the sixth.
New York filled the hideouts with two outsiders in the seventh, but when the Reluver Brandon Issert slipped to McNeel to reduce the danger, it dried up.
The teams combined to go to 1 -for -18 with runners in the scoring position and each left 10 on the base. White Sox ended with four hits, Mets seven.
