Except for those who were still to join the teams, 71 foreign players were playing before stopping in the IPL 2025 season.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will begin in four days. The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) wants the world’s best T20 tournament to end with a bang for a few days. But this may not be possible. This is because foreign players, who often add an additional attraction, cannot return.

Whatever has been transpired last week for fear of safety from NOCS (no objection certificate) is playing a role. Some cricketers have confirmed that they will come, but this is not the case for all. The BCCIs are currently talking with other cricket boards and hope that all foreign players will return.

“We are personally talking to foreign boards, while the players are working directly with their players. We expect most of them to return,” A BCCI official told PTI.
