“Real fans belong to MS Dhoni, all the rest payments”: Harbhajan Singh triggers a lot of controversy

Fan wars in Indian cricket are not uncommon. Every now and again, a cricketer’s fan groups come into debate with fan groups of other cricketers. In India, cricketers are like deities, with fan armies who leave the player and unique passion for sports. However, former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh made a very controversial statement, as he suggested that currently the only Indian cricketer who has ‘real fans’, former India captain Chennai Super Kings ‘Thala’ is MS Dhoni.
Harbhajan’s comment came as the IPL 2025 season, which resumed with Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders match on Saturday. During a chat on Giostar, Harbhajan triggered a controversy as he suggested that Dhoni’s fans are real, while the number of fans of other players also included the ‘payment’ component.
“If any cricketer has a real fan, it is Dhoni. The rest is paid,” said Harbhajan.

Harbhajan said the show, “Krita is left and when it is dum. Baaki to ye banaye hai jo aajkal media Aadha paid Hi Chalta Hai Pary Inke Fan Wo Asali Hai.
The former spinner further commented, “MS Dhoni left the plum Dikhin Akcha Khel Hain, Thek Thak Khale.”
Former India cricketer Akash Chopra, who was also part of the discussion, told Harbhajan that he should not have said ‘so much truth’.
Some fans also questioned whether Harbhajan’s statement was digging on fans of Virat Kohli, who had gathered in large numbers to pay homage to the Indian batsman after deciding to retire from Test cricket a few days ago.
Despite the incessant rains despite the RCB vs KKR match in Bangalore, Kohli’s fans donated the batsman’s Test ears as a tribute. A large part of fans also asked the 36 -year -old man to see his decision to leave the longest format of the game so soon.
