Shai Giljas-Alexander, Thunder Route Volves in Opener

Shay Gilgas-Alexander made a slow start to score 31 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder for a domestic victory of 114–88 on Minnesota Timberwells in the final game 1 of the Western Conference on Tuesday.

It was Gilgus-Alexander’s fourth consecutive game with 30 or more points and was eighth in 12 playoff games this season. He added a game-high Nine Assistes.

With the remaining seven minutes left in the fourth quarter, Gilgus-Alexander moved towards the basket and started falling, leaning the ball towards the bucket.

Before leaving the ball around the rim, rolled around the rim, and Jayden McDanells was called for dishonesty.

Gilges-Alexander finished the three-point play above 14. He finished 10 out of 27 from the floor and 10 out of 4 from 3-point range, but made 11 out of 14 from the free-thro line.

Initially, the protection of Timbervols gave Gilgus -Alexander Fits, putting it only 2 -13 in the first half.

Oklahoma City was slightly more than nine, before more than a minute in the first half, Thunder cut the deficit to four.

In the second half, Thunder Coach Mark Dintault shifted the Gilgus-Alexander from the ball, and it helped the potentially valuable player find a rhythm.

Gilges-Alexander scored 12 points in the third quarter, as Oklahoma City dropped Minnesota from 32–18.

While Gilgius-Alexander pressured the crime, it was the protecting the thunder that played the biggest role in the victory.

Overall, Oklahoma City scored 31 points on the turnover of 19 Timberwells. Minnesota removed only 10 points from Thunder’s 15 GIVEWAYS.

Jalan Williams of Oklahoma City produced 19 points and eight rebounds, while Chet Holmagren added 15 points and seven boards.

Thunder shot 50 percent from the ground and 11 out of 21 (52.4 percent) beyond the arc, while Minnesota was caught by just 34.9 percent from the floor and 15 out of 3-point range 51 (29.4 percent).

Julius Randle led Minnesota with 28 points, scoring 20 in the first half. After going for 5-for-6 in the first half on 3-point attempts, the randals did not attempt a shot beyond the arch in the second half.

Timberwells wound Anthony Edwards with 18 points and nine rebounds. He tried only one shot, playing seven minutes in the fourth quarter.
