Wyndham Clarke PGA apologizes for club throw during the Championship

Vinham Clarke, malnourished by the public after a club throw during the PGA Championship in the weekend, has apologized for his actions.

“As professionals,” Clarke posted on X on Monday, “We are hoping to remain professional even when disappointed and I unfortunately let my feelings be best for me.”

Standing on the 16th Hole box in Qual Holll in Charlotte on Sunday, Clarke erupted a drive in a fairway bunker. The 31 -year -old former US Open Champion then flew his club backwards, closed the head, as it crashed into a signage with a volunteer, which stood just feet away.

Clarke went to the bogie for more than the 16th-day seventh-3 74.

On Monday, Clarke posted on X that he wanted to “apologize to honestly” for his behavior.

Clarke said, “For my actions, it was completely inappropriate, making it clear that I have things that I need to work on.” “I catch myself for a high standard, always try to play something bigger than myself, and Yeterday [sic] I fell short of those standards. I am really sorry for this. I promise to improve the way my frustrations on the course of moving forward, and hope you all can forgive me in the appointed time. ,

Since finishing fifth at the Texas Children Houston Open in early March, Clarke struggled, not better than a tie at 27th in its last four tournaments.

Clarke has publicly spoken about his mental health and its impact on his career, including his mother to be transparent about his experiences with grief and anger management after 10 years ago.
