IPL 2025 points table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap: Shubman Gill-LED GT Extend Lead, KKR’s playoff hops disappearance

Shubman Gill slammed 90 runs off just 55 balls to help Gujarat Titans (GT), which increased its lead on the top of the IPL 2025 points table, as he defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 39 runs. GT clearly had a better side of all three aspects of the game, and now this season has become the first team to hit 12 points. KKR, on the other hand, remain in seventh place, lost five of his eight matches. They are now four points away from the playoffs, and requires a string of victory to qualify.

Gill became the seventh batsman to cross 300 runs in IPL 2025, but it is opening partner B Sai Sasharson, who withdrew the Orange Cap. He became the first batsman to cross 400 runs this season, and now sit on 417 after a knock of 52. GT also led the Purple Cap Standing, thanks to Paer Prasad Krishna, who now has 16 wickets, four more than someone else. He took two wickets against KKR.

Gill’s innings, adorned with 10 fours and three sixes, with Sai Sudarshan’s 36-Ball 52, his fifth fifty in six matches, who made him the first player in this season to cross the 400 runs to recover the Orange Cap, this season made the first player in this season, which had placed a foundation for 3 for 3 for 3, which KKR said to ball the tax track.

The total, which was well calculated and strategic by GT, proved to be more than enough as GT bowlers limited to 89 to 8 to 8 for figures of Rashid Khan and Prasad Krishna’s 2/25.

Chasing 112 in the last match, it was another low for the defending champion after his horror show of 95 as his batting was out of deep and died due to his third defeat in four matches at home, and in eight matches in fifth position.

For GT, this victory marked his sixth win in eight matches, strengthened his position with 12 points at the top of the IPL standing, two clear of Delhi capitals.

KKR’s chase quickly stumbled as Mohammad Siraj removed Rahmanullah Gurbaz for 1 at the inauguration.

Sunil Narin’s brief 17 -run cameo ended with his dismissal by Rashid, which found his Mojo back after an indifferent start for the season.

Willy Afghan spinner, who was under investigation for his recent performances, gave a tight mantra beautifully exploiting the circumstances to return with 2/25, including the prized skull of Andre Russell (21; 15B).

His control and variations on the slow eden pitch indicated a return to the form. He demonstrated his skills by accepting just five runs in his two-over spell.

In-form Seemar Seemar Famous also showed his magic in the back-end as they rejected Ramandip Singh (1) and Moen Ali (0) in gradual balls, as it was all, but at 7 in 7.3 overs for KKR.

KKR’s innings stabilized during the mid -over, Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer struggled to expedite the GT spinners in one phase, where they failed to achieve a limit for 36 balls.

In three overs, Sai Kishore’s Kifour 1/19 tightened the screw, leading to Washington Sundar bowling (1/36 in three overs) and Iyer’s departure for Iyer’s departure for 14 from 19 balls. The final 45 balls require 108 runs, KKR’s hopes rest on Russell and Rinku Singh. However, the growing required run -rate proved to be unsafe against GT’s disciplined attack.

Earlier, selecting the bowl, KKR bowlers faced an initial attack as Gill (55 runs 90) and reformson (53 out of 38) made a 114 -run stand.

Refillment’s consistent form earned him an orange cap, which became the first player in this season to cross 400 runs this season.

Jose Butler, being entering with speed from the last unbeaten 97, was vested in an unbeaten 4 for 41 off 23 balls, unable to find the border ropes as expected, but GT managed to score an equal score on this challenging situations.
