The Cleveland Guardian retained the third basman Jose Ramirez a light right Annil sprain and left the team’s road game against Toronto Blue Jais on Friday after falling on the base.
Ramirez left after running an informed single for the pitcher in the third innings. The throw of Toronto’s Chris Basit hit Ramirez behind the shoulder, and he fell to the ground after hitting his right leg with a bag.
Ramirez was on the ground for a few minutes, but was able to get out of the field.
The six-time all-star did 2-for-2 to increase its season’s batting average. 274. He has five domestic runs and 15 RBI in 31 matches this season.
Daniel Snaniman Pinn-Ran then entered the game on a second basis for Ramirez. Gabriel was transferred from second to third to Arius Cleveland.
