For better or worse, Montreal Alouettes are now the team of Davis Alexander.

Alexander QB1 makes Alexander QB1 in Offsen Trade Montreal, experienced for admonton. His first chance to prove himself as a starter of every week comes on Friday night when ALS opened the season at home against Defending Gray Cup champion, Toronto Argonats.

“I want, honestly, to stay the same,” Alexander said. “Through practice, we look great. I just want us to be consistent, take care of the ball, join your receivers, join with your people, maintain long drives and keep your defense away from the field.”

Alexander left his mark last year when he replaced an injured Fazardo against Suskechewan on 25 July and stopped Montreal with a 13 -point deficit. Alexander then started winning four more, with 1,347 passing yard and 69.5 percent of his efforts.

The management saw Alexander enough to give him a three -year contract expansion in November and then pulled the trigger on Fazardo trade. This made a plan B in Swap by receiving former Edmonton Starter McLeod Bethel-Thompson.

While ALS is going in a different direction, Toronto started his title defense by tabing the Gray Cup MVP Nick Arbakal for the beginning of the early night. Normal number 1 of sailors, Chad Kelly, Montreal is not quite ready to return from a broken leg during the East final last November.

Toronto coach Ryan Dinvidi said about Kelly, “He is getting better, but not enough yet.” “We will see where we are next week, but I think it is probably going to be another week. But you can see progress.”

For now, the former Edmonton Reserve Geratte Dogs and Tucker Horn will back back.

The Argos also cut at the beginning of last year, in favor of veteran Cadim Carrie, Youth Options Deanta McMahon and Mian Williams. Kerry ran for 1,060 yards and seven touchdowns last year.

Quarterback Cameron Duke, who launched nine games for the team last year, while Kelly was suspended by CFL, was also one of the team’s final cuts.
