Uran signed a minor league deal with New York Mets during Offsen. On 28 April, he started his season, scoring five earned runs in three innings of relief against the citizens of Washington.
Only after one game, Mates nominated him for assignment, and he chose a free agency signing with Blue Jais.
In Toronto, Uran posted 3.65 ERA in 12 1/3 innings.
In the same move on Saturday, Blue Jais recalled the left-handed Easton Lucas from Triple-e Buffalo. The 28-year-old has already thrown 21 2/3 innings for Toronto this season, with 2–2 records and 5.82 ERAs.
