O’S to avoid sweep, M turn for reliable Brian Wu

Brian Wu has been a model of continuity this season.
In early Thursday afternoon against visiting Baltimore Oriols, Seattle Meriners is the only pitcher among the right -handed major leagues, which has gone 11 times in this season at least six innings.
Wu has hit that mark in each of his outings this year.
Logan Gilbert, George Kirbi and Bryas Miller spent all the time in the disabled list this season, Wu (5-2, 2.82 ERA) has helped to keep merriners in the American League Race with the withdrawal this season.
“You do not expect injuries and accessories to our employees, as healthy and consistent, as we have been over the years,” Wu said. “So, in fact, just trying to catch it until they get back and come back to what we do.”
Wu, in his third season, was recently unimaginable as the beginning of last August. He had three stents in the injured list between 2023 and 2024, and he ended a stretch in the last summer, in which he moved into four innings just once.
A conversation with Catcher Cal Rale made Wu realize that he needed to do more comfortably between starting.
“You’ve found to work every day,” Wu said. “There is no,” Oh, I am going to make it easier for four days and then go on the pitch. ” You have found in the weight room after this.
“I thought it was more (that) you want to make sure that you relax and get well and make sure you are taking care of yourself in this way. But it was really the opposite.”
After Pep Talk from Rale, Wu picked in more than six innings in each of his next six, which began after failing to reach the benchmark in its first 29 Major League.
“It was a turn for her,” said Meriners Pitching Coach Pete Woodworth.
On Thursday, Wu will face Oriols for the first time as he opposed the right-handed Zach Ephlin (4-2, 4.46 ERA). Eflin threw his last seven scorer innings against Chicago White Sox, excluding only four hits and a season-high Six in a 2–1 win on Friday.
In search of the bucketmore to be taken on a three-game sweep, Ephlin is 1–0, with a two-career of 4.91 ERA against Seattle.
Oriols remain in AL East Seller, but one of its last 10 seasons and highs has won one of the eight seasons. They have lagged the merriners back 3–2 on Wednesday, which is a two-run triple in the seventh innings of Heston Keszstad.
Edle Rutschman killed a 415 -foot Homer for Oriols for a homecoming. He was born three hours below the interstate -5 at Portland, Ore, and participated in the state of Oregon.
“He has hit the ball barely, and made some hits in another way,” an interim manager of Oriols, Tony Mansolino said about his all-star Catcher. … … he is home and something for it. ” “A lot of families in the stand, but it looks good right now.”
