“Hope Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah …”: Rohit Sharma’s big IPL concern beyond England’s test

Indian captain Rohit Sharma expressed optimism about being a fully fit team before the five -match Test series against England. Speaking on the Beyond 23 Cricket Podcast, Rohit highlighted the importance of the management of player fitness during the Indian Premier League (IPL). “We need to be 100 percent fit for some of these people. We just have to ensure that they really come out of the IPL. It’s most challenging – I know it’s only four overs, but you play today, you travel tomorrow, and then you play again. It’s a difficult part, because you are traveling all over the country and you are playing so many games,” Rohit said.
She specifically referred to the importance of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami to be hurt, saying that a fully fit team would give India a big chance of success in the series.
“I hope these two people, with others, end the IPL without any concern. If we have a fully fit team, we will have a great series,” Rohit said.
Rohit accepted the intensive level of international cricket and the challenges faced with it. He said, “The kind of cricket the cricket of these people is playing these days – this is a good challenge for us.”
India’s last series win in England returned 1-0 under the captaincy of Rahul Dravid in 2007. Since then, his last Test series in England ended 2–2 in 2022, when India played a recyded fifth test under the captaincy of Jaspret Bumrah in Edgbaston, initially after the series 2–1 under Virat Kohli.
India’s five -Test tour tour will be kickstart with the first Test in Leeds on 20 June.
Rohit has been India’s most vast run-goldter in the history of the World Test Championship (WTC), with 2,716 runs in 41.15 with nine centuries and eight fifties in 41.15.
