The 31 -year -old McCler revealed that the man threatened to find and kill his children. Micular’s daughters are 5 and 1 year old.
“I think people are very emotional and people love Astro and Love Sports, but it is a bit difficult to deal with finding their children and threatening to kill them,” McCullers said at that time.
He said, “There have been many, many threats to me over many years, and I think one or two of other issues around baseball had really had to go to jail for such things,” he said. “But I think they are going to bring children into the equation, threatening to find them or the next time they publicly see us, they are going to kill my children … as it is difficult to hear as a father.”
McCullers’s second game was back after a two -year injury due to hand injuries. He recorded three hits and three runs on three hits and three walks to Cincinnati Reds.
Astro hired 24 -hour security for McCler and his family in view of dangers.
