SRH, LSG IPL 2025 confirm the start of ticket withdrawal process after suspension

After suspending IPL 2025 for a week, BCCI has confirmed the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) that they are starting a ticket withdrawal process for their respective home matches against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Meanwhile, LSG, in seventh place, was ready to host RCB, who finished second in the game to be held at the Brasbav Ekna Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday evening, while SRH in eighth place was hosting KKR in the sixth place in the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Saturday.
But both clashes will not be determined by the seven-day suspension of the tournament due to cross-border tension between India and Pakistan. SRH said in its ‘X’ account, “In the light of the current situation, the #TATAIPL2025 has been suspended with immediate effect. Ticket withdrawal details will be reported soon.”
On the other hand, LSG wrote on its Instagram account, “Tonight’s match has been canceled at the Brasabav one cricket stadium. The details about the ticket refund will be followed.”
The decision to stop the IPL 2025 for a week came behind the tension across the border on Thursday night, causing the air shocks and drones from Pakistan as blackouts in Jammu, Udhampur and Pathankot.
It asked the game between Punjab Kings and Delhi’s capitals to play after only 10.1 overs of the first innings, about 80 km from Patkot at HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. Along with airports in Dharamshala and other North Indian cities, it made logistic challenges to safely bring out all stakeholders for BCCI from the hill station.
As a result, along with match officials, commentators, broadcasting crew members and other major IPL-related personnel, both PBK and DC players and assistant staff members were evacuated from Dharamshala by bus carrying near Jalandhar on Friday morning, where a special train was organized by the tournament, which was to take them to the new deli. So far, IPL 2025 has completed 58 games, with 12 matches to be played in league stage and followed by playoffs.
