Virender Sehwag, the batter of the former Indian cricket team, convicted Chennai Super Kings Star Developed Brevis for his controversial dismissal during the IPL 2025 encounter against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Brevis was excluded from Lungi NGD bowling, but South Africa International was not convinced by the decision. Brevis interacted with Ravindra Jadeja and went out 15 seconds by the time he went for review and the on-field umpires informed him about the circumstances. This led a huge line with an argument with umpires with Jadeja.

However, Sehwag was of the opinion that it was not the fault of the umpire and said that if the batsman was not convinced, he should have gone to review soon to avoid any confusion.

“Only Brevis can tell us why he did not review on time. Why it was so late? It is Brevis’s fault, not the umpire. The timer is shown on a big screen. He ran for the same and then he went for another. Do you not know that the umpire has given you out?” Sehwag said on the cricbuzz.

“Okay, I think it was a wrong decision. It was a bang, it was remembering the stump. DRS is there to get rid of the hovers there. As soon as the umpire gave his decision, the 15 -second timer started on the ground. It is fine, we did not see why the screen took so much time?” He said.

Ayush Matre and Ravindra Jadeja were in vain in the fifties as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won 2 runs over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the final ball thriller.

With this win, the IPL went to the top of the 2025 points table after winning the eighth position in the 18th edition of the RCB side Cash-Rich League. On the other hand, after losing his ninth match in the tournament, the CSK side remained at the bottom of the table.
