To complete the series sweep to Cubs Edge Low Rockies

Pete Crow-Arcestrong played Homard and Matthew Boyd played six strong innings as the Chicago cub completed the three-game sweep of Colorado Rockies with a 2–1 win on Wednesday night.
Seya Suzuki doubled in one run and Matt Shaw made two hits for Chicago, which won four straight games and 10 of the last 12.
Boyd (5–2) allowed an unarmed run with no run and eight strikes on four hits. Ryan Brassier and Brad Keller gave each a scorer innings before the Daniel Palansia retired the rockies for their fourth sev in the ninth before.
Colorado lost its third straight and fell by 9-47, the worst start for a season in the modern era of baseball (since 1901). Orlando Arcia made two hits with Rockies after signing as a free agent first a day.
This season Rockies was swept away in a series for the ninth time and lost 18 consecutive series to start the 2025 campaign.
Chicago took a 1-0 lead in the first innings when Kyle Tucker already scored an out-out against Suzuki’s Tanner Gordon (1-2).
Cro-Armystrong added a leadoff homer in the fourth innings to the cub’s lead. The 379-foot shot to right field was his team-Agni 15th Homer this season.
Gordon conceded two runs on six hits in 4 2/3 innings. He hit one and did not allow a walk.
Colorado pushed a run in the sixth innings. Mickey Moniyak hit a leadoff single, reached third place with one on Boyd’s wrong pickoff throw, and scored on Tyler Freaman’s sacrifice fly.
The Rockies kept two runners with one in the fifth innings, but when Boyd rushed to the ground in a double play when Boyd reached the ground.
Chicago won its sixth straight game in the Wrigley Field behind another strong performance from its bullying. Keller enhanced her line of not allowing an earned run in 18 innings in her last 16 matches.
Colorado was placed in six singles and fell by 2–14 as Warren Shefer converted Bad Black into a manager on 11 May.
