McLaren’s Oscar Piastry, Lando Noris to start 1-2 in Spanish GP

The Oscar Piastry and Lando Noris on Saturday captured 1-2 spots in the qualifying for Formula One 2025 Spanish Grand Prix, giving McLaren dominated the front line.
Piastry carried forward a two-year-old two-tenth of a second in Circuit D Barcelona-Catalunya for Sunday’s race, two-tenth part of the season.
Max Vestepen of Red Bull in third place, followed by George Russell of Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari and Kimi Antoneli of Mercedes.
This season is a four -time winner, for Piastry, this is his fourth pole.
The 24 -year -old Australian said, “This is going to be an interesting tomorrow and I am very happy that I am starting with the pole.” “This is clearly a long race to turn 1, so [I’ve] Make sure I try and start a good start tomorrow. ,
“But I am very proud of the work done today and I am starting at the best place, so I can’t thank the team enough and hope we can do something tomorrow.”
England’s Noris said his own errors led his number 2 position.
“The Oscar drove the Oscar very well. I think the speed is definitely a pair of mistakes,” said 25 -year -old Noris.
“I didn’t do this, and the Oscars, as I said, was running well in the weekend, so a good result for the team, a good 1-2 and an interesting start for tomorrow.”
Piastry leads the driver standing with 161 points, followed by Noris (158) and Verustapane (136).
On behalf of the team, McLaren has a huge advantage on Mercedes, 319 to 147 points.
Noris will continue to look for his second win, who won in Monte Carlo last week.
