Jimmy Johnson’s Legacy Motor Club has shown incredible improvement in 2025, and it would only be a little surprising if one of his drivers made Postsen.

The NASCAR Cup series is going north for the third annual Chicago Street Race of Sunday, two-car organizations of Johnson, which is rebranded from Paytm GMS motorsport in 2023, upwards and heating at the right time.

For the remaining 2025, 29 -year -old Eric Jones and 28 -year -old John Hunter Nemchek with four -time cup race winner Joe Nemchek’s son in the playoff Glory Rest with Namechek’s son.

LMC’s No. 43 Toyota Camry in his third season, Jones was a prominent player in Atlanta last Saturday, which was finally as part of a hard-making contingent of about eight cars.

He worked in fifth place in his last time, matching his season-secretary performance in the Texas Motor Speedway in the first week of May.

In the championship standing that determines the 16-Kar region, Jones ranks 18th with 379 points, leaving behind Ryan Preis (405) and 16th place Bubba Wallace (428).

And let’s be honest: Jones can flat a race to a race car. You do not win two southern 500s in Darlington, one of the most demanded tracks of stock car racing, on anything other than talent. Rarely a driver “back” does for a win.

Just see the prestigious list of challenging speedways by the winners: David Pearson tops with 10 wins, followed by Dell Arnhard (nine) and Jeff Gordon (seven). Those stock car legends have 14 championships among them.

For Jones, who won in the 2019 and 2022 southern 500s, which is a powerful company to hold.

With his first win in Detona in summer of 2018, Jones sees a penchet to win at the most prestigious places in NASCAR.

“We have scored good runs since Charlett in 600,” Jones said, which finished within the top 13 of the six out of the last eight races. “We are here in the tail here. … We are a good step away from being a contender. I hope we can take that step soon. We would like to win a win.”

While riding the 24th in the points, Nemchek needs to win more than a good point.

He has only one top -five (Detona) and six top -10s, but his number 42 has recently surfaced. Nemchek has finished sixth in two of the last three races and is fourth in Poconi.

It may be that he could be the Harrison Burton of this season, the lame duck driver, who made the playoffs in the last summer by defeating Kyle Bush in Detona.

Legacy motor club may also increase.

According to a report by Fox Sports, JC Love, the driver of the number 2 Chevrolet in Richard Children Racing, the driver of the exfinity series, piloted the third LMC camery in the next season if the organization could acquire another charter.

LMC filed a lawsuit against Rick Ware Racing earlier this year to violate an agreement for sale. RWR has said that the deal was for the 2027 season, not for 2026.

Getting 20 -year -old love would be a boost to be a racing stable that is growing, but it will not be at the cost of Jones or Namechec.

At the end of the Daniel Suarez season of the trackhouse racing, out of number 99, available seats and go to other drivers – some of them uncertain about their future.

But the current of Legacy looks clear and strong.
