Dream put four-game winning line on line vs Sun

Connectic Sun needs to start somewhere to get its season together, and they have a few days to prepare for their next opportunity on the reset as Sun (1-6) on Visiting Atlanta Dream (5-2) on Friday night.
“Every time we play,” Sun Coach Rachid Mezian said, “We compete. … Understand, we cannot be a team that can only choose to play crime or play defense. To win the game, we have to focus on both ends of the court.”
Connecticut last played on Sunday and suffered a 100–52 defeat in New York. The game included shooting 19-for-61 (31.1 percent) from the ground-when the number of field goals of the team matched their turnover. Only Tina Charles and Reserve Jesse Sheldon reached double figure with 10 points.
“No matter what the score is, we will continue to play and work hard,” Sheldon said. “This is the mindset.”
The dream is climbing in the opposite situation as they own the four-game winning streak. They have been coming from a week since 94-87 win in Seattle last Friday.
In the Seattle Game, 33 points of Rhine Howard won the Atlanta player for the first time this season. This increased her scoring average by 17.6 points per game, which only sees Alisha Gray (21.4) on dreams.
Atlanta has been encouraged by Ruki Te-Hina Popo, who has received 5.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 assistance while logging at about 16 minutes per game.
“It is difficult to come as a crook, but especially as a crook point guard,” Gray said. “She always gets ready when her name is called and she always makes a big basket for us.”
The Dream Center Brittany Grinner played a season-15 15 minutes in the Seattle game-two points and a rebound-one knee injury. With another week of treatment, it should be ready for more production.
Atlanta coach Karl Smaceco said, “We know that ‘BG’ is a big part that we are going to do here.” “I am sure she was doing just what she was doing before her injury.”
This is the second game between Atlanta and Connecticut in 13 days. Dream defeated the Sun 79–55 at home on 25 May, which now marks the most the smallest point of the Connecticut season. Gray and Nia Coffee started 18 points for dreams.
