Bengal Cricket Association IPL 2025 Unhappy with BCCI at the last stance: “Inappropriate …”

The Indian Premier League (IPL) will resume on 17 May, when it was suspended only a week after India and Pakistan raise the border tension. The IPL was stopped on 8 May after the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capital. As the two countries agreed to the ceasefire, the BCCI took a call to resume the tournament, but with a revised program. According to the latest changes, the IPL 2025 finals will be played on June 3 instead of 25 May.
However, the BCCI is yet to call at the venue for the final, which was initially to be played at the Eden Garden, the house of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Reports states that the finals can be shifted away from Kolkata due to weather concerns.
However, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has attempted a final gasp for maintaining hosting rights for the finals.
According to a report by Revsportz, Cab has submitted a report to BCCI from the Meteorological Department of India, as well as India, saying that it is impossible to predict the weather conditions for June 3.
The report states that people suffering from cabs believe that it is not appropriate to match the match and IPL from Kolkata based on weather predictions.
The report said, “We believe things will work because we have done a great job in organizing everything. Also, you cannot predict the weather patterns so soon, and we have presented all the official documents to this effect.”
On starting the league again, the first match will be between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders in Bengaluru on 17 May.
As per the revised program, there will be six places for league matches: Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
The places for the playoff matches will be announced at the latter date.
