KL Rahul’s one gesture saves rival RR star Dhruv Jurael, almost DC IPL 2025 matches. Watch

A gesture by Delhi Capital wicketkeeper KL Rahul became a savior for Rajasthan Royals Batter Dhruv Jurlel during the IPL 2025 match on Thursday. DC posted a total of 188/5 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first. Later chasing, RR made a strong battle but DC limited him to 188/4, so took the game to the super over, where the Axar Patel -led side won with a ball. This was the first IPL match after 2022 to go to the super over.

During the 16th over of RR’s chase, Kuldeep Yadav bowled Gugli to Dhruv Juril, who went to the batsman’s pad and hit. DC appealed for LBW and the on-field umpire quickly indicated LBW. As the DC players began celebrating, Rahul was seen making a gesture to Kuldeep, indicating that the ball actually hit Jurael’s cell.

A few seconds after Rahul’s gesture, Jurall spoke to Nitish Rana at the end of the non-strayer and reviewed the DRS, showing that the ball had actually hit the cell and the RR batsman was not declared out.

Jurall scored 26 runs off 17 balls and almost took out the match with DC’s hand. However, in The last over, Mitchell Starc’s talent brought DC back to the game.
