Canx ‘Quin Hughes Finalist in Boli to repeat as Noris Trophy winner

Vancouver Canx Captain Quin Hughes has a chance to become a repeated Noris Trophy recipient.

On Tuesday, NHL nominated Hughes, Kelorado avalanche Kail Makar and Columbus Blue Jacket Zach Verenski as the final for the award.

The Noris Trophy is presented to an annual defensive player who “shows the biggest all -round capacity in the entire season.”

The Hughes Awards are trying to become the first repeated winner as the Hall of Famer Nickes Lidstrom of Detroit Red Wings captured three consecutive consecutive consecutive consecards from 2005-06 to 2007-08.

25 -year -old Hughes led Canxes to Assist’s (60), Points (76) and Ice Time (25 minutes 44 seconds) this season.

26-year-old Makar was named the recipient of 2021-22 Noris Trophy and is a five-time finalist for the award. He led all the defensemen in Gol (30), aid (62) and points (92) this season this season.

The 27 -year -old Verenki was first taunted as the Noris Trophy finalist. He recorded the team-best total in Assistes (59) and points (82) to go to NHL-Leide 26:45 average ice time.
