Popular Australian podcasters directed BCCI to extract IPL videos from YouTube

A “Humble Legal letter” of the BCCI has inspired the creators of a popular Australian podcasts to take down “every video” below. Sam Perry and Ian Higgins, who hosting a grade cricketer, received a legal notice from BCCI and IPL in the weekend. Perry said on podcast on Monday, “You must have seen that every video of this year’s cricket tournament has been removed from Youtube, YouTube shorts, Facebook, Instagram and X.”
“This is something that we have done ourselves, this has not been done for us, we have removed these videos. On Saturday evening we have received a very humble legal letter from the Australian time about the elements of our content that we are particularly related to this season.
“As a result we decided to take those videos down,” he said.
According to a report by ‘Sydney Morning Herald’, “Legal notice was related to claims that the grade cricketer IPL video still had photography shots from the tournament, which BCCI was used for ‘commercial’ rather than ‘editorial’ objectives. It should be noted that the IPL, the IPL, in their media advisors, the audio and videos that they provide are clearly contradictory. Are for use.
“Media is allowed to use press conference video/audio on its respective websites or mobile applications for editorial use. Press conference video/audio cannot be uploaded on social media platforms, but youtube, facebook, instagram and X (East are limited to Twitter).”
Both Perry and Higgins are going to travel to India for some live shows this week.
Perry said, “It is very important to keep in mind that we are going to continue posting the coverage of the tournament, what we do on what we do. In fact, the next few weeks is going to be more because we are going to India,” Perry said.
“But our approach to the material is consistent for five years, now what we understand now and the muster is not passing.” The grade cricketer produces a daily show called ‘The Big IPL Breakfast’, and after development, its name will be changed.
Perry said, “We are considering changing its name in the breakfast of the big cricket tournament.”
