Dream rally to increase previous storm to increase the line to 4

Rhine Howard scored 33 points, Alisha Gray 28 and Visiting Atlanta Dream held a rally to defeat the Seattle Storm 94-87 on Friday night.

Briya Jones scored 15 points and Naz Hilman had 11 for Dream (5-2), who won his fourth consecutive game after being out of Storm 31-21 in the fourth quarter.

Skylar Digins scored 20 points, 16 in Naneka Ogwumike and Erica Wheeler and Gabby Williams added 14 each for Hurricane (3-3).

The storm scored the first six points of the third quarter and increased its lead to 51-34. Dream scored the next six points, before Digins replaced the three-point play for a 14-point lead.

Gray performed three-point plays and a 3-pointer during the 11–0 run, which pulled the dream within 61–59. Digids made three free throw and added a free throw to give Seattle a 66-63 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Gray scored five points during 12–4 runs, which gave Atlanta a 75-70 lead in the fourth quarter. Seattle found within a point, but Howard scored five points to help the dream take a lead of 82–76.

The storm found within two points, but the 3-pointer of Howard helped to regain Atlanta.

Digins and Ogwumike scored four points in each during the 8–0 run, leading to a 10–3 lead. Howard created a jumper to stop the run and added a 3-pointer to help get the dream within 12–8.

Hilmon led the Seattle before 11 points from two free throw and Te-Hina Popao made a 3-pointer to help receiving Atlanta 23–15 within 23–15 at the end of the first quarter.

The Storm scored the first four points of the second quarter, before the griner’s leup produced the first digit of Dream and Howard’s basket returned the lead up to eight.

Seattle scored the next seven points, but Atlanta responded directly with seven within 36–28. Hurricane took 11 points on three occasions, 45–34 at the last minute.
